As a pivotal member of our surgical team, you will play an essential role in preparing the operating room for various surgical interventions. Your contributions are vital to ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up the operating room with the necessary instruments and ensure proper sterilization protocols are followed.
- Understand the specific requirements of different surgical procedures and the preferences of the surgeons you will assist.
- Be prepared to respond swiftly to the demands of emergency situations.
- Manage the clean-up and turnover of the operating room to facilitate the next surgical case.
At Dignity Health, we value your professional growth. We offer an Education Benefit program for eligible employees after a designated period, providing financial assistance for educational endeavors. Full-time staff can access up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time staff can receive up to $9,000.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of four (4) years of clinical experience as a surgical technologist.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program and hold certification as a surgical technologist, along with two years of clinical experience.
Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is $44.30 per hour.
