About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Operating Room Customer Support Specialist to join our team at STERIS. As a key member of our customer support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers in the surgical operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on the use and maintenance of surgical equipment and instruments.
  • Conduct on-site visits to customers to analyze repair trends, inventory management, and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to reduce or limit the need for device and instrument repairs.
  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to identify opportunities and issues and provide solutions to customers.
  • Develop and maintain positive business relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures of the Department of Health, JCAHO, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, AORN standards, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Instructions for Use (IFUs).
Requirements
  • High school diploma and minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including minimum of one year of hospital (OR/SPD, Device Repair & Maintenance or related) experience.
  • Basic understanding of medical instrumentation and device repair and maintenance strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite with healthcare customers with some flexibility in work hours as needed, with occasional overnight travel as needed to meet customer and training requirements.
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and effectively translate knowledge to meet customer needs per contract and compliance requirements.
