About the RoleThe Americas Institutional team at Wellington Management is seeking a skilled Relationship Analyst to join our Chicago office. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Business Developers, Relationship Managers, and Consultant Relations Managers to support our sales initiatives across our investment platform.
Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of Wellington Management's product offerings and services.
- Act as a liaison between prospects, clients, and consultants, and Wellington Management in the region.
- Prepare comprehensive briefing packages and presentation materials for client calls and meetings.
- Respond to ad-hoc inquiries and follow-up questions from meetings.
- Schedule, coordinate, and participate in external calls and onsite visits.
- Conduct in-depth analysis on potential client and prospect new business opportunities.
- Support the preparation of Requests for Proposal (RFPs) by working with Investment Product and Fund Strategies, and other subject matter experts.
- Maintain an understanding of competitive peer groups and conduct peer analysis, business management, and strategy work.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and report findings to the team.
- Provide exceptional client service, including responding to inquiries, managing cash flow requests, and reporting requirements.
- Navigate internal data systems to build reports, source data points, and respond to prospect due diligence requests.
- Support marketing efforts, including managing internal and external materials, working with third-party vendors, and coordinating webinars, special events, and industry conferences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring focus, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to learn quickly and manage simultaneous projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience in Salesforce a plus.
- Bachelor's degree, with preference given to candidates with progress toward the CAIA designation, CFA designation, MBA, or other graduate-level degree.
- At least two years of prior experience in the investment industry.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and sense of humor required.
- Self-directed individual who can work independently under tight time constraints and evolving priorities.
