About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist to work in our Blood Bank department.

This is a part-time, evening shift position that requires a high level of analytical ability and judgment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct basic and advanced tests on blood samples to ensure proper transfusion of blood and blood products.
  • Recognize and resolve discrepancies observed in blood specimens or laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain records of transfusions and perform equipment maintenance and quality control.
  • Respond to customer needs and requests, and participate in continuing education programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • Certification eligible as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
  • One year of work experience in a laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of department policies and procedures.
