Mammography Imaging Specialist

As a Mammography Technologist at AdventHealth, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely diagnoses, which is critical in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Operate X-ray equipment and perform various mammography-related procedures.
- Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Explain procedures and educate patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
- Develop and evaluate the film for technical quality, such as density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Graduate of a 2-year allied health program required.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Radiology Technician credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
