Job Summary

As a Cardiac Imaging Specialist at AdventHealth, you will play a vital role in assessing cardiac structures and hemodynamics. You will perform diagnostic procedures, set up and adjust cardiac imaging equipment, and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, with the possibility of floating between Hinsdale Hospital and La Grange Hospital.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians.

Set up and adjust all cardiac imaging equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams.

Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.

Perform routine and complex studies and assist physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

One or more of the following: Cardiac Sonographer certification from the Competency & Credentialing Institute, Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or equivalent experience.

Two or more years of technical experience preferred.
