Anesthesia Technician Specialist

Anesthesia Technicians play a vital role in supporting anesthesiologists, anesthesiologist assistants, nurses, and other members of the anesthesia care team. Their responsibilities include cleaning and sterilizing all equipment, as well as maintaining records of equipment inspections. The population served is based on the scope of services in the department.
Education and Experience Requirements:To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year of current experience or within the last three years in a comparable role is also required. While an Associate or Bachelor's Degree is preferred, it is not mandatory.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:Candidates must possess knowledge and application of medical technology. Additionally, they must be able to maintain current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for Healthcare workers.
Working Conditions:The working conditions for this position include significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. There is also some occupational risk involved. The physical effort required is very heavy, with the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force. The physical environment includes some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
Company Information:This position is with Nuvance Health, a reputable healthcare organization. The org unit is 1421, and the department is Operating Room. This is a non-exempt position with a salary range of $34.14 hourly.
