Job Title: Pharmacist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Actalent. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for evaluating physician medication orders, maintaining patient/resident databases, and implementing drug safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration.
  • Maintain patient/resident databases to include current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication.
  • Ensure that appropriate laboratory tests are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with the healthcare team.
  • Document all communication with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team in the medical record.
  • Implement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and use of drugs and biologicals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm D preferred)
  • One year experience in pharmacy (long-term care preferred)
  • Current MD State License

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Columbia, Maryland. The shift is 4pm - 12am with flexibility to work on weekends and other shifts as needed.
