Job Title: Paralegal Studies Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Paralegal Studies Instructor to join our team at Mt. San Antonio College. As an Adjunct Professor of Paralegal Studies, you will be responsible for teaching PLGL courses according to the College's course outlines of record and pursuant to the guidelines of the American Bar Association Standing Committee for the approval of paralegal programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach PLGL courses according to the College's course outlines of record and pursuant to the guidelines of the American Bar Association Standing Committee for the approval of paralegal programs.
  • Participate in the timely assessment of student learning outcomes and program-level outcomes.
  • Assist the Paralegal Program Coordinator, as needed, with information and record-keeping requests related to ABA requirements.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or higher AND 2 years of professional experience; OR an associate's degree AND 6 years of professional experience; OR the equivalent (must request an equivalency review in the application).
  • Commitment to the community college goals/objectives of providing quality programs and services for students with diverse abilities and interests.
  • Personal qualities to work effectively and sensitively in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Communicate effectively to students orally and in writing.
