General Manager Truck Stop Leader

The General Manager - Truck Stop is a key leadership role responsible for driving sales and profits at our retail operation. As a seasoned retail professional, you will take ownership of the assigned location, inspiring and empowering team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining a profitable environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead by example, demonstrating a passion for customer service and retail excellence while coaching and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service, retail presentation, and internal and external image, ensuring a positive brand experience.
- Oversee day-to-day retail operations, proactively addressing areas of improvement and providing support where needed.
- Recruit, interview, and hire top talent, ensuring effective orientation and training to set them up for success.
- Analyze sales, margin, product inventory levels, cash, and inventory trends, utilizing reporting metrics to maximize profitability at the store level.
- Execute company marketing plans and procedures at the store level, ensuring consistent execution.
- Implement new program rollouts at the store level, driving business growth and improvement.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels through effective ordering, supporting sales growth and minimizing non-productive inventory.
- Ensure safety, health, food safety, and sanitation requirements are met, adhering to federal, state, local, and company standards.
- Manage employee scheduling and payroll to maximize daily sales while achieving labor targets.
- Complete required daily and monthly paperwork and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales and performance goals as set by the District Manager and upper management.
- Effectively communicate with subordinates, peers, and upper management, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Manage employee activities and assigned duties, ensuring proper execution and timely completion.
- Conduct accurate and timely employee performance reviews, driving growth and development.
- Investigate inventory or cash shortages quickly and efficiently, resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure correct vendor procedures are followed by all employees, adhering to company policy.
- Verify all cash handling and inventory control procedures and policies are being followed, with regular cash audits.
- Ensure all company video and security procedures and policies are being followed at all times.
- Complete competition surveys monthly or as requested by upper management, providing valuable insights.
- Communicate and support the company's mission, vision, and values, embodying our culture.
- Implement and enforce all company policies, rules, and procedures, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Participate in community service events with the district team, demonstrating our commitment to the community.
- Ensure all employees follow company, state, local, and federal guidelines regarding the sale of restricted products.
- Resolve customer complaints and problems quickly and effectively, delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Execute the fuel pricing strategy, including timely and accurate fuel surveys and price changes.
- Complete self-maintenance items at the store level, ensuring optimal performance.
- Enhance employee morale and engagement through communication, recognition, feedback, and accountability.
- Build and maintain effective business relationships with vendor partners, driving mutual success.
- Maintain a safe work environment at the assigned location, adhering to company and regulatory standards.
- Act as a proactive business manager, driving company goals and responding to P&L and analytical reports.
- Ensure positive employee relations, resolving employee problems and disputes in a timely manner, and seeking assistance when needed.
- Embody a catalyst for change, embracing new ideas and initiatives within the organization.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years' experience as a retail manager, with convenience store experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work 50 hours weekly.
- Previous experience with Trendar POS required.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to bend, stretch, reach, locate, stack, and lift inventory weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Meet all requirements expected of an Enmarket Store Associate.
