Our Facilities Teams provide essential support across all employee areas and facility operations.

Role Overview:

As a custodian, your contribution is vital to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facility. You will be responsible for cleaning, routine maintenance, and repairs of buildings and grounds, executing essential duties and responsibilities as assigned. The primary objective of this position is to foster a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing floor cleaning tasks such as sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Polishing office furniture including tables, chairs, and desks.
  • Dusting mechanical devices such as monitors, desktops, and printers.
  • Cleaning windows, doors, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
  • Emptying waste and recycling bins regularly.
  • Maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for cleaning duties.
  • Restocking restroom supplies and ensuring facilities are in good condition.
  • Conducting routine heavy cleaning tasks, including floor stripping and waxing.
  • Moving heavy equipment and furniture as needed.
  • Completing minor repairs on equipment.
  • Preparing spaces for the next day by taking out trash and tidying up.
  • Sanitizing toilets, sinks, and showers while restocking disposables.
  • Documenting inspections and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • The capability to lift at least 50 pounds frequently.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in basic maintenance, building repairs, and janitorial work.
  • The ability to work safely with various cleaning supplies.
  • Familiarity with machinery including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and floor scrubbers.
  • A commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards through constant monitoring.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings and overtime as required.
