Job SummaryThe Legal Intake Specialist will be responsible for surveying prospective clients, empathizing with them on the details of their case, managing new client onboarding, and data entry. The ideal candidate will have prior customer service experience, great communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities- Case Screening: Screen incoming potential client calls to ensure the case falls within the scope of our firm while providing a supportive and understanding experience for the caller.
- Case Compilation: Compile all relevant case details from leads and other sources, such as online court dockets, to serve as foundational notes for consultations.
- Scheduling: Book consultations for prospective clients with our lawyers to expand our caseload and ensure meeting schedules are accurate.
- Client Onboarding: Initiate and follow up on sending contracts, invoices, and communications to the lead throughout the onboarding process to provide a seamless and efficient transition from new lead to official client.
- Data Management: Organize paperwork and perform data entry in our case management system to streamline new client onboarding and current client files.
- Administrative Tasks: Conduct various tasks around the office, such as managing spreadsheets, writing emails, faxing, and copying, to ensure all processes run smoothly.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate eloquently and empathetically.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills are necessary for success in this role.
- Technical Skills: Solid data entry, spreadsheet management, and computer skills.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is needed, while a Bachelor's degree is desired.
- Experience: Sales or customer service experience is highly valued.
- Background: Background in the legal industry is preferred.
