Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Saint Alphonsus Health System. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples, identifying patients, transporting specimens, and performing related clerical and computer functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect blood samples from patients of all ages
• Correctly identify patients and label specimens
• Transport specimens to the laboratory for testing
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
• Serve as the central communication for the laboratory, receiving and processing incoming requests

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred
