Phlebotomy Technician

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Saint Alphonsus Health System. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory by collecting blood samples, identifying patients, and transporting specimens for testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients of all ages
- Correctly identify patients and label specimens
- Transport specimens to the laboratory for testing
- Perform related clerical and computer functions
- Utilize relevant computer programs for data entry and specimen tracking
- Communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred
