Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and caring Patient Support Care Specialist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Patient Support Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing individualized care and support to patients, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life.



Responsibilities


The Patient Support Care Specialist will assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as provide emotional support and companionship. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.



Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications:




  • Education: Sixteen (16) hours of classroom training and four (4) hours of on-the-job training within thirty (30) days of first client contact. Ten (10) hours of inservice training per year.
  • Experience: One or more of the following experience: Minimum six (6) months paid experience as agency homemaker, home health aide, or household worker. Minimum one (1) year experience, paid or unpaid, in caring for children, sick or aged individuals. Successful completion of a formal course in basic nursing arts or nurse aide training.
  • Skills: Ability to read, write, follow directions and perform duties with minimum supervision. Ability to deal effectively and courteously with clients, families, and coworkers and exhibit an empathetic attitude toward the sick and elderly. Provision of reliable transportation and a working telephone as required by nature of position.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Driver's License


Compensation


The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
