Role Summary:

As a Loan Processor specializing in residential and HELOC transactions, you will be tasked with the meticulous preparation of comprehensive loan documentation and providing essential system support for both new and renewed loans. This includes, but is not limited to, data entry, maintaining various systems, ensuring the accuracy of loan reports, and the preparation and filing of the Bank's collateral documentation.

It is crucial to possess a solid understanding of the Bank's primary loan systems, documentation software, and other supporting platforms, such as tickler tracking systems, flood certification resources, and Credit Bureau services. You will also be responsible for addressing customer inquiries related to loan balances, payoffs, and payment requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Loan Support Functions:
    1. Initiate and process new loans and renewals within the Bank's core system.
    2. Conduct data entries for loan advances, payments, and necessary updates.
    3. Prepare and distribute loan deferments and denials as directed by lenders.
    4. Maintain communication with customers regarding loan payments and balances.
    5. Ensure compliance with secondary market loan documentation requirements.
  2. Loan Administration Duties:
    1. Prepare and validate customer loan renewals, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
    2. Review loan documentation for accuracy prior to closing.
    3. Set up and maintain loan files, ensuring proper perfection of the Bank's liens.
    4. Assist lenders with administrative tasks, including correspondence and title company follow-ups.
  3. Reporting and Compliance:
    1. Generate daily remittance and monthly reports for secondary market loan programs.
    2. Collaborate with compliance officers to ensure accurate HMDA reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in data entry and documentation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Qualifications:

A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred. A minimum of five years of experience in loan processing or a similar role is desirable.

Work Environment:
