Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operating Engineer to join our team at JLL. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for delivering best practice systems and resolving problems on all data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems to ensure 100% uptime.

  • Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and water heaters; pumps, valves, piping, and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Record readings and make adjustments as necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action as required.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience working in a data center/critical facility.
  • Experience with building systems, including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgears.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office, Google Suite, and CMMS.
  • Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Corrigo experience.
  • Universal EPA 608 certification.
  • Trained in NFPA70E.
Physical Work Abilities and Requirements

This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:

  • Walking large, campus-like settings.
  • Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Climbing stairs and navigating rooftops to access equipment.
  • Using ladders up to 30 ft. and working from heights.
  • Ability to Climb a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit.

Must be able to work different schedules, holidays, and respond to site emergencies.
