Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct care to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes, ensuring a smooth transition for patients.
- Establish effective communication with families, visitors, and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Report vital information to the healthcare team, as needed, and convey necessary information to patients and visitors.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Respond to patient requests and emergencies, using guidance from supervisory personnel as needed.
- Perform delegated patient care procedures, including activities of daily living, wound care, and telemetry.
- Use clinical knowledge to care for patients based on diagnoses and unit assignments.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
Salary Range: $29.28-$31.04/hour
