The Eisenhower Imaging Center LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Nurse to join our team in a high-volume outpatient imaging facility. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment with no on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care to patients as assigned by R.N./MD, ensuring all actions comply with established standards and regulations.
- Collect and communicate patient data effectively to R.N./MD, maintaining a focus on patient safety and care quality.
- Perform essential nursing tasks independently, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and facility policies.
- Manage and report laboratory and diagnostic test results promptly to the supervising R.N./MD.
- Assist in the preparation and care of patients undergoing imaging procedures, including pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure follow-up.
- Administer medications as directed by R.N./MD, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines and patient safety protocols.
- Support the care of patients with special needs and manage medical emergencies under the guidance of the medical team.
- Maintain proficiency in the operation of clinical equipment and ensure all nursing and emergency equipment is functional.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols while providing patient care.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- A minimum of three years of nursing experience is preferred.
- Strong IV skills and certification are necessary.
- Experience in radiology is advantageous.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a high volume of patients efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient problem-solving abilities.
