- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain the integrity of the work area.
- Label aircraft parts and components appropriately for easy identification.
- Utilize necessary tools and equipment to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Be adaptable to work schedules that support 24/7 operational needs.
- Engage in additional tasks as required by the operational demands.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess strong mechanical skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently. A background in working with complex machinery and technology is essential.
- Preferred experience of 2+ years in aircraft maintenance.
- Familiarity with Cirrus Aircraft is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations is essential.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation related to aircraft maintenance.
Certification as a mechanic is required by the FAA, which includes:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Fluency in English.
- Possession of an Airframe & Powerplant Certification.
- Fulfillment of experience requirements or graduation from an FAA-approved institution.
- Successful completion of written, oral, and practical examinations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This position requires physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks, including:
- Standing for extended periods while using various tools.
- Lifting equipment and components weighing between 10 to 70 pounds.
- Working in a maintenance hangar subject to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Wearing personal protective equipment as necessary.
