About the RoleUSGP is seeking a highly skilled Medical Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and managing medical claims for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Processing: Review and process medical claims for accuracy and completeness, ensuring timely submission to third-party payers.
- Benefits Verification: Verify patient insurance benefits and coverage amounts to ensure accurate reimbursement.
- Database Management: Update patient insurance information in CHCS, AHLTA, or MHS GENESIS and TPOCS databases.
- Communication: Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and third-party payers regarding claim status and requirements.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in medical billing or claims processing; Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator certification a plus.
- Certification: BLS Certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
