Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our bridge design and load rating projects in Northern California. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage bridge design and load rating projects, including assessing project needs, developing staffing and work plans, and coordinating with other disciplines and subs.
  • Ensure that project schedules and budgets are maintained, and that work products meet client requirements.
  • Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate with the team to ensure that work is completed within the agreed-upon budget and schedule.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures and perform detail checks and/or quality control reviews of design work performed by other team members.
  • Actively participate in business and client development, including proposal writing, fee development, and identifying teaming strategies.
  • Supervise large project staffs and act as a mentor for less-experienced project managers.
Requirements
  • BS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 15 years of related bridge engineering experience, including 5 years of project management experience with California Transportation clients.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and structural analysis programs.
  • PE license in the state of California.
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
  • Knowledge of the California Transportation industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience in client development, proposal writing, and general marketing is strongly preferred.
