Job Summary

Fastenal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Associate to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing branch inventory levels, administering procurement functions, and coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage branch inventory levels to ensure accurate and efficient stock management
  • Administer procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
  • Estimate and quote prices, and source products to meet customer needs
  • Coordinate resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
  • Support accounts receivable activities and make deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving record requirements
  • Possess or working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales, or related field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
