GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Mechanic role involves the maintenance and repair of small gas engines, ensuring all tasks are performed efficiently and in accordance with company standards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting repairs on various equipment as necessary.
  • Assembling products that arrive disassembled.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the workshop and showroom.
  • Assisting customers with loading and unloading equipment.
  • Supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory management tasks.
  • Performing cleaning duties as required.
  • Alerting the Branch Lead regarding inventory shortages or excesses.
  • Carrying out service calls at customer locations as needed.
  • Operating forklifts safely.
  • Driving company vehicles for deliveries or pickups as required.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.
  • Upholding the Company's Core Values.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED is required, along with three years of relevant experience or training.

Experience should encompass small engine repair, pneumatic systems, power tool maintenance, and a foundational understanding of electrical and electronic systems. Welding skills are essential.


LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

Ability to read and understand basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing simple correspondence.
Effective communication skills for presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and colleagues.

Spanish language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.


MATH SKILLS

Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers. Ability to perform these calculations using units of American currency and measurements for weight, volume, and distance.

Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain a good driving record, and have personal tools available for work.
