Role Summary and Qualifications

§ The Ultrasound Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting diagnostic ultrasound procedures. This role involves the independent operation of ultrasound equipment and the communication of preliminary findings to the Radiologist.

§ Responsibilities also include managing daily operations within the Ultrasound Department, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining patient schedules, overseeing equipment upkeep, reporting any equipment issues, and ensuring quality assurance (QA). The specialist is expected to uphold high medical ethics and continuously enhance their knowledge and skills in the field.

Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment.

No travel is required for this position.
