Job Summary

The EKG Equipment Technician plays a vital role in the respiratory care team, assisting practitioners with equipment cleaning, assembly, and inventory control. This position requires the ability to perform electrocardiograms on patients of all ages, utilizing sound clinical judgment and effective problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adjust to changing priorities and workload.

Responsibilities
  • Perform electrocardiograms based on established policies and procedures.
  • Use sound clinical judgment and effective problem-solving skills to implement patient care.
  • Communicate data obtained from ECGs to other healthcare team members.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adjust workload or duties in response to changing priorities.
Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in an accredited 2-year Respiratory Care Practitioner training program is highly preferred.
  • Preferred experience in data entry, DOS, Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Previous experience as a healthcare provider.
  • Recent employment establishing decision-making ability and/or mechanical aptitude.
