Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing all on-site quality activities and priorities in support of the quality management system and internal and external customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct daily priorities: quality inspections, internal/external customer service, communications, problem-solving.
- Direct weekly priorities: projects, processing customer complaints, defective raw material resolutions, inventory management.
- Direct monthly priorities: on-site department audits, data and content collection, analysis of data and trends, outline and present operations meetings, coordinate training activity for operations, manage tool calibration system, follow-up, and close-out critical quality activities (e.g., non-conformances, corrective actions, customer returns), and global QA objectives.
- Liaise with third-party testing labs, mills/suppliers, and interact with all inputs and outputs linked to the local and global QMS (Purchasing, Sales, OPS, Customers, et. al).
- Independently direct the day-to-day quality assurance priorities, activity, and workload for the facility.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail, analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving are essential.
- Time management: capable of organizing, prioritizing, and planning independently.
- Good communication skills: both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to use reason and logic to make important decisions.
- Passion and enthusiasm for work.
- Personable and positive in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related field.
- 1 year using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word.
- General skillset for technology/IT a bonus.
- 1 year of related technical/industry knowledge: e.g., root cause analysis, auditing, experience in aerospace, medical, defense, et al.
