Job Duties
This position is responsible for providing broad program management responsibilities for SARRTP, including leadership in the development, implementation, evaluation, and oversight of complex programs responsible for comprehensive clinical care of Veterans. The incumbent will lead a multidisciplinary team, which includes psychologists, physicians, social workers, nurses, and other health care professionals and trainees. The incumbent will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of operational policies and procedures for SARRTP, with the approval of the Chief of Mental Health. The incumbent will conduct ongoing program evaluation and data-driven quality improvement projects that monitor the effectiveness of clinical operations within their respective program(s). The incumbent will organize and lead team meetings to facilitate case disposition, care management, effective delivery of clinical interventions, and the adherence to administrative demands. The incumbent will monitor and distribute provider-specific workload reports to team leaders and ensure provider adherence to workload standards. The incumbent will plan work to be accomplished by SARRTP, including establishing priorities, timelines for completion and necessary adjustments therein. The incumbent will ensure timely access to residential care, in accordance with local and national policies. The incumbent will initiate and maintain liaisons with associated VA health care programs to effectively coordinate services. The incumbent will monitor compliance of staff with VA performance measures and effectively shape provider practice patterns to improve standing on performance measures. The incumbent will provide clinical supervision, as appropriate, to assigned staff regarding adherence to WCHCS clinical and legal standards and policies, documentation of electronic health record procedures, and the clinical management of difficult, complex, and dangerous patients. The incumbent will provide leadership in hiring of new staff members for SARRTP, which may include constructing job announcement(s), preparing functional statements, rating applications, interviewing, and selecting final job candidates. The incumbent will participate in the selection of newly hired personnel. The incumbent will resolve conflicts among staff and adjudicate complaints and problems of employees in a timely and effective manner. The incumbent will assume responsibility for taking appropriate disciplinary actions for employees with performance problems in a timely and effective manner. The incumbent will ensure that appropriate coverage is arranged for patient care responsibilities when staff members are on leave. The incumbent will approve leave for employees directly under their supervision. The incumbent will provide psychological assessment and diagnostic services for Veterans with a broad range of psychopathology receiving care within the clinic setting. The incumbent will work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. The incumbent will be authorized for Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus). The incumbent will be authorized for EDRP.
