Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and devoted Personal Care Assistant to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of others.

As a tenured Personal Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to provide a range of services to our participants that will allow them to lead a more fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist participants with various physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities.
  • Work closely with our participants to understand their unique needs and goals and develop personalized care plans to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Provide assistance with independence, inclusion and belonging, vocational support, and personal development.
  • Help participants develop the skills they need to live a more independent and fulfilling life, such as light cooking, providing prescribed medication, and personal hygiene.
  • Assist participants in developing communication and social skills through various activities, promoting community integration and social engagement.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Active CPR and First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain before starting).
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, an active auto insurance policy, and a clean driving record.
  • Proof of tuberculosis clearance within the past year (or clearance prior to starting). Full Life Hawaii will assist you with obtaining your clearance.
  • Experience in caregiving, special needs, or CNA/RN preferred but not required. We offer training and development for the right candidate.

The Personal Care Assistant position in Ocean View starts at part-time $17.50 and full-time 20.00 per hour, depending on the type of service and location.
