About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Full Life Hawaii. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized care and support to our participants, assisting them with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. You will also work closely with our participants to develop and implement personalized care plans that promote their independence, inclusion, and overall well-being.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be patient, empathetic, and understanding, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans that promote independence, inclusion, and overall well-being
  • Work closely with participants, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of participant care and support

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years or older
  • Active CPR and First Aid certification
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Proof of tuberculosis clearance within the past year
  • Experience in caregiving, special needs, or CNA/RN preferred but not required
