Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About the Role:
- Evaluate patients and perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations to provide high-quality care.
- Compile patient medical data, including health history, and order diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as suturing, splinting, and wound care, to provide effective care in an emergency setting.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care.
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, and medical devices to meet patient needs.
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens.
- Work with a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (Epic) to create and maintain accurate patient records.
- Care for and communicate with patients, family members, co-workers, and other medical professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
- Exhibit professionalism and maintain commitment to ethical principles, including confidentiality of patient information, informed consent, and business practices.
Your Schedule:
- Shifts are 8 hours per day, 5p-1a, with rotation of weekends and holidays.
- Openings are available for a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) position.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner training program or a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current MN RN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges or a current PA license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice.
- Certified through ANCC/AANP or eligible for ANCC/AANP national exam or through the NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
