Job Summary

The Club Leader position is an on-site role that involves attending training at the Woodcraft Rangers main office and school sites. This position is responsible for planning and implementing engaging and enriching activities for club participants, developing and implementing program activities according to program goals and monthly themes, and ensuring students are in a safe environment at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement engaging and enriching activities for club participants.
  • Develop and implement program activities according to program goals and monthly themes.
  • Recruit and maintain program participants from the school community.
  • Ensure students are in a safe environment at all times.
  • Develop positive relationships with youth in their program, parents, and school staff.
  • Maintain and submit daily student attendance rosters.
  • Submit lesson plans of program activities for each session in advance.
  • Develop and implement "end of session" performances or displays.
  • Participate in staff development training as required.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience working in expanded learning programs or youth recreational facilities.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED (AA Degree in Child Development or a related field preferred).
  • Work well with young children and/or youth.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Computer literacy and willingness to learn.
  • Valid LIVE Scan, TB Clearance, and CPR Certification.
