MEP Superintendent

Turner Construction is seeking a highly skilled MEP Superintendent to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of mechanical and electrical systems on our projects.

• Lead and coordinate the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor on mechanical and electrical systems
• Ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed, and adherence to budget
• Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns
• Manage site safety programs and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes
• Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule and budget
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues and resolve them
• Manage billing process, oversee estimate of work completed, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications
• Coordinate and direct activities of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure conformance with plans, specifications, and local and national codes

• Bachelor's degree or at least four years of formal engineering or architectural experience and a minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling, and cost control procedures
• Specific knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building information modeling, and its use in coordination of project systems
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency with computer applications, and ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedule

Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
