Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Nurse Manager for our Medical Clinic. The Nurse Manager will collaborate closely with the Health Center Administrator and Clinical Director to oversee the daily operations of the clinic. This role involves clinical and administrative supervision of nursing staff. Ideal candidates will possess empathy, calmness, passion, and a strong motivation to impact community health positively. Understanding the Social Determinants of Health and their implications in Community Health Care is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and assess a team of approximately 10-12 Medical Assistants (MA), including MA supervisors.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in partnership with the Medical Director and Health Center Administrator to align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct monthly audits and maintain knowledge of State and Federal Regulations applicable to health centers.
  • Focus on quality improvement initiatives, including HEDIS and Meaningful Use standards.
  • Provide annual training for Medical Assistants on topics such as infection control and sterilization techniques.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for Medical Assistants and participate in hiring processes for additional support staff.
  • Oversee a patient care system that includes nurse-only visits.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and foster team-building within the clinic.

Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license, B.S.N., LPN, or equivalent, and be licensed to practice in the State of Washington.
  • Two to three years of experience in nursing supervision, along with organizational and budget management experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including listening and team-building abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
  • A strong desire for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with a self-motivated attitude.
