Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Magnificus Corporation. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our ophthalmology department by performing a variety of tasks, including visual acuity tests, refractive surgery procedures, and data entry.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual acuity tests, including distance and near vision, color testing, and pinhole vision
  • Measure and record distance and near vision, perform color testing and pinhole vision
  • Perform lensometry, autorefraction, auto keratometery, and manual refractions
  • Conduct automated visual field testing, ophthalmic photography, glare testing, tonometry, pupilometry, and corneal pachymetry
  • Assess corneal topography and perform other cornea/refractive diagnostic testing
  • Assist during surgery and perform other tasks as directed by the physician
Requirements:
  • Certificate in ophthalmology or optometric technology
  • Current certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT)
  • Minimum of one year of full-time experience as an Ophthalmic Technician within the preceding three years
  • Experience working in an eye practice (ophthalmology or optometry) performing functions such as visual acuity, color vision testing, automated visual fields, topography, applanation tonometry, slit lamp photography, and assisting in surgical procedures
