Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Anthony s Villa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective individualized mental health programs for assigned clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement behavior modification programs to promote optimum mental health
  • Attend and participate in treatment/behavior management team meetings with staff
  • Counsel clients with an emphasis on prevention and behavior modification
  • Communicate effectively with clients verbally and in written correspondence
  • Supervise and participate in providing needed services
  • Serve as primary Counselor and support person
  • Train others to apply effective behavior management techniques
  • Collect and record client information through interviews, observation, and tests
  • Maintain confidentiality of client records
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress according to measurable goals
  • Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of three years of related experience in designing individualized treatment programming, monitoring and observing behavior, and developing behavior management plans
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or a closely related field
  • A minimum of two years of related experience in designing individualized treatment programming, monitoring and observing behavior, and developing behavior management plans
Work Environment

The physical demands of this position require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The job is rated for light work.
