About the Role

InGenesis is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing culturally competent mental health services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide preventative counseling services to individuals and groups.
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with our Outreach Worker to attend community events and provide education on mental health services.
  • Consult with our Program Manager to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools and community organizations to provide behavioral health services.
  • Screen, triage, and assess clients to determine the level of care needed.
  • Coordinate referrals to community resources and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Provide psychopharmacological consultation to primary care providers as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work or clinical psychology.
  • Current California license as a clinical social worker (LCSW) or psychologist.
  • Bilingual skills highly desirable, particularly in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, or Japanese.
  • One year of experience in behavioral health, primary care consultation, or a related field.
  • Experience working in public health settings and serving diverse communities.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting, walking, and standing in a normal office environment and in the field.
  • Regular bending, stretching, and lifting.
  • Manual dexterity for office equipment and computer use.
  • Presenting information to groups.
  • Reading and writing to review records and maintain client files.
