The role of the Automated Machinery Manufacturing Expert is pivotal in our quest to achieve this goal.

As part of the Solar Team, you will oversee the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of our advanced solar stringer machines. Your responsibilities will encompass the complete lifecycle of these machines, including their construction, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

This position requires you to become the go-to authority on the machinery, demonstrating exceptional ownership of their operational performance.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Take full responsibility for the production outcomes of the solar stringer machines, focusing on equipment OEE.
- Collaborate with the production team to create training programs and standard operating procedures for stringer operations.
- Establish and execute a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan aimed at enhancing long-term machine reliability and uptime.
- Innovate and refine designs of existing production assets to boost their robustness and operational efficiency.
- Manage the commissioning of new stringer assets with effective project management skills to ensure timely completion.
- Advocate for 5S principles to maintain organized and efficient workspaces.
- Interpret and utilize system-level schematics and drawings across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic domains.
- Provide support for Production Devices such as HMIs and VMs.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of automation experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of hands-on project experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Self-driven with strong problem-solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous, and challenging environment.
- Familiarity with design of experiments, statistical process control, and process qualification.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and engineering.
- Experience in PLC and HMI programming, particularly with Ladder Logic and Structured Text Language.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment failures in collaboration with OEM suppliers.
- Demonstrated hands-on skills in mechanical system troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.
- Analytical skills to gather and assess information for complex problem-solving.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company and industry standards.
- In-depth knowledge of TeamTechnik Stinger Machine functionality and troubleshooting.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:

- Automated Machinery Manufacturing Expert/Level 1: $40.00/hour
- Automated Machinery Manufacturing Expert/Level 2: $45.00/hour
- Automated Machinery Manufacturing Expert/Level 3: $50.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is only one component of your total rewards package at SpaceX, and you may also qualify for long-term incentives.
