Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at our Penn Yan, NY location. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for receiving, selecting, storing, and loading products and materials while safely operating material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate KanPak Quality activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliance, cost, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move material to proper storage or staging location.
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Ensure all transactions are scanned and recorded accurately to reflect a correct inventory position at any time.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse and/or forklift operator experience.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, ability to navigate through multiple systems.
Competencies/Job Skills
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationships.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to contribute to a team approach with a positive attitude and outlook.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
