Job Summary

The Admission/Discharge Coordinator is a critical role at Jefferson Health, responsible for facilitating the bed placement of patients. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to act as a liaison between patients, hospital staff, the community, and physician office staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter accurate financial, demographic, billing, and clerical information into the hospital ADT system.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff, patients, and community members to ensure seamless bed placement.
  • Utilize knowledge of managed care policies and procedures to optimize patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with physician office staff to ensure effective communication.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of hospital experience in a clinical setting.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Cerner and Teletracking.
  • Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology.
