Christensen Farms is seeking a highly skilled Feed Mill Plant Manager to oversee the efficient production of high-quality feed products while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Management: Ensure consistency and quality standards are met in grinding, batching, pelleting, bin management, and load out processes.
  • Quality Control: Perform and document product quality control processes as specified.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Collaborate with the Feed Mill Maintenance Manager to develop and enhance standards for maintenance programs on all major pieces of equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage ingredient inventory to SOP standards and ensure accurate recording of feed ingredient purchase orders and receipt of goods.
  • Staff Development: Provide leadership, coaching, and development of employees, and hold staff accountable for production and financial results.
  • Cost and Budget Management: Assist in budgeting for Feed Mill repairs and collaborate with the Feed Mill Maintenance Manager to manage subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of prior job experience, preferably in feed delivery operations or related areas.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical understanding of task-specific equipment, computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products and scheduling software, and ability to manage and act in a fast-paced environment.
