Job Description

The Sales Associate is a key member of the Runnings team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet customers as they shop in the retail store, assisting with customer service questions and providing solutions to their needs.
  • Merchandise Management: Price store merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date pricing information.
  • Inventory Management: Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management, maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
  • Receiving and Processing: Assist in receiving freight and organizing incoming products as directed by store management, ensuring timely and accurate processing of merchandise.
  • Cash Handling: Handle customer transactions utilizing the KCX cash register system, maintaining accurate cash handling and ensuring a secure and efficient checkout process.
  • Customer Returns: Responsible for handling customer returns, providing solutions to customer concerns and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Any knowledge of and/or experience with FFL requirements for the sale of firearms is strongly preferred.
Working Environment:
  • Work Environment: Retail store environment, with frequent exposure to cold and warm conditions.
  • Work Schedule: Irregular work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Equipment and Tools:
  • Computer: Utilize computer software and network to process transactions and manage inventory.
  • Calculator: Use calculator to perform mathematical calculations and ensure accurate pricing information.
  • Cash Register-Scanner: Utilize cash register-scanner to process customer transactions and maintain accurate cash handling.
  • Telephone: Answer incoming telephone calls and handle customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Fax: Utilize fax machine to send and receive documents as needed.
  • Copy Machine: Use copy machine to make copies of documents as needed.
