Overview:


The role of the ECC Specialist is currently on hold due to the provider payment structure based on enrollment, which will remain in effect until further notice. The ECC Specialist position will be reinstated once the Department of Family Development resumes payment based on attendance. The following outlines the revised responsibilities associated with this position.

Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:

Essential Functions:

1. Facilitate orientations for new parents.

2. Deliver training sessions for child care providers regarding policies and the utilization of the ECC Provider Portal for managing agreements and payments.

3. Perform ECC-related tasks as required.

4. Ensure comprehensive management of NJCK cases.

5. Understand and apply the regulations and procedures governing these programs.

6. Evaluate program eligibility for the NJCK initiative.

7. Draft and distribute preliminary and final agreements.

8. Input child care agreements into the CARES system.

9. Update client addresses in CARES and WLS to maintain accuracy.

10. Utilize WLS for client data, technical assistance entries, and general case documentation.

11. Diligently monitor and manage all paperwork deadlines.

12. Process re-determinations and issue termination notices as necessary.

Secondary Duties:
Perform receptionist tasks as needed when the reception area is unattended:

1. Cover the receptionist's breaks and lunches on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:
A minimum of a high school diploma is required; a two-year college degree or additional training beyond high school is preferred.

Experience Requirements:
Two to three years of demonstrated experience in a professional office setting. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) in both written and spoken communication is mandatory.
