Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Excavation Site Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of heavy civil construction experience and the ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

The Excavation Site Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing project plans, layouts, and estimates, as well as providing technical assistance to field staff. This includes:

  • Reviewing project plans, specifications, and estimate of projects prior to project kickoff
  • Marking out and calling in DigSafes, and maintaining a file so that the DigSafe tickets can be tracked and kept current
  • Performing project layout, including checking and establishing control points, staking out key items of a project, and compiling as-built data
  • Setting up dozers, excavators, and GPS rovers with current layout files/models

The Excavation Site Coordinator will also assist crews with establishing missing grading information, provide technical assistance to foreman on means & methods, monitor project safety, and facilitate toolbox talks with crews.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 years of heavy civil construction experience
  • The ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD
  • Experience with construction layout utilizing GPS equipment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

You will also need to have a valid driver's license and OSHA 10 certification.
