Job Summary

At Durham - Velocity HQ, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the invoicing and billing process, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily AR activities to monitor timely and accurate invoicing
  • Formulate SLA and KPIs for the AR department and ensure compliance and delivery to those standards
  • Supervise, direct, and review work of AR Department staff
  • Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions, including writing accounting memos for audit purposes
  • Review, approve, and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Manage the annual external audit/review and periodic internal audits as related to AR
  • Play a key role in implementing the AR subledger within Netsuite
  • Develop, establish, and maintain general accounting financial policies and procedures and work with management and employees to ensure compliance
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of invoicing/billing experience; previous experience within a regulated clinical, medical, or pharmaceutical environment preferred
  • Previous management/supervisory experience required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) a plus
  • MBA (not mandatory but preferred)
  • Working knowledge of financial concepts, theory, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel; working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong experience with large enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (Oracle/Netsuite), and various accounting software packages
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX compliance) preferred
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
