Job Summary

Truckstop is seeking a skilled Software Engineer II to join our development team. As a key player in our Agile development model, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions to meet product and customer needs, training new team members, and collaborating with team members to define and develop technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively influence squad communication and team dynamics to accomplish the tactical mission of the squad.
  • Collaborate with other team members within respective Agile squad and Tribe to define and develop technical solutions to meet product and customer needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation that is easily consumed by others.
  • Improve the development experience at Truckstop by enhancing development tools, test coverage, and code structure.
  • Independently develop, document, and enhance API endpoints using Node.js or C#, .NET / .NET core, and SQL.
  • Implement code that is clear, concise, tested, and easily understood by others.
  • Be responsible for the entire lifecycle of their code: development, test, production, and subsequent fixes and improvements.
  • Independently perform code reviews that follow Truckstop's published standards and practices and that are recognized by their team as helpful.
Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with minimum 4 years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented principles and software design pattern.
  • Proficient in developing responsive web apps using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
  • Modern framework knowledge such as Angular is nice to have.
  • Experience with C#, Asp.Net / Asp.Net core, Entity framework.
  • Deep functional knowledge or hands on experience working with Web Services such as REST.
  • Experience writing Ad-Hoc SQL queries, Transactional Queries, and Stored Procedures.
  • Experience integrating apps with RESTful API's or GraphQL.
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud services a plus.
  • Proactively influence squad communication and team dynamics to accomplish the tactical mission of the squad.
  • Collaborate with others across squads to remove impediments and blockers.
  • Strong debugging and diagnostic skills.
  • Design solutions that align with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards.
  • Able to articulate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled at clearly documenting design and concept ideas.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback.

In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base salary range for this position. The position is also eligible for a yearly bonus. Final salary is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $86,900—$100,000 USD
