Job Title: Software Development Engineer II

GEICO is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting high-quality SDN solutions for our Data Center Hybrid Cloud software stack.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable network solutions for our Data Center Hybrid Cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-performance network solutions ensuring compatibility and integration with overall system architecture.
  • Provide technical leadership and support related to SDN, including troubleshooting and resolving system issues to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement and ensure the security, stability, and scalability of our system architecture.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance and insight related to cloud infrastructure and best practices in network system management.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with systems architecture and design.
  • 2+ years of experience working with hyper-scale cloud provider solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or work experience.
