Job Overview

Highbury Defense Group is seeking a skilled Software Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software systems that meet the needs of our DoD customer at NAVWAR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess user requirements and develop software solutions using principles from computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Enhance or modify existing software functionalities as needed.
  • Collaborate with various functional disciplines to integrate hardware and software systems, establish specifications, and define performance requirements.
  • Manage and maintain databases within specific application domains.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics.
  • Minimum of three years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in applying programming concepts in a professional or academic environment.
  • Experience implementing modern software development methodologies, such as agile and DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS.
  • Skill in identifying risks related to enterprise architecture development for system-of-system cybersecurity designs.
  • Familiarity with encrypting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) stored on authorized mobile computing devices and removable storage media.
  • Experience screening electronic deliverables for malicious code using DoD-approved antivirus software.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
