Position Summary

In response to our expanding Field Service team in the Central US region, we are seeking an On-Site Service Specialist. This dual-role position combines the responsibilities of providing on-site technical services with remote technical support. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical skills, relevant field service experience, and the willingness to travel to various client locations as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

On-Site Service Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and validate systems at client sites in accordance with established specifications and protocols.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on existing systems and equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment and system malfunctions on-site.
  • Repair or replace defective components and parts as required.
  • Educate and guide clients on the proper use and upkeep of equipment.
  • Maintain comprehensive service records and documentation.
  • Respond swiftly to service inquiries and client requests.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while performing on-site duties.

Remote Technical Support Responsibilities:

  • Deliver remote technical assistance via phone and email to both internal and external clients.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
  • Guide clients through problem-solving processes and solutions.
  • Develop knowledge base articles to document solutions for recurring issues.
  • Manage customer warranty claims effectively.
  • Escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Stay informed about product updates, services, and technical advancements.

This role uniquely integrates the hands-on technical service of an on-site technician with the remote support capabilities of a technical support specialist. The successful candidate will have a robust technical background, exemplary customer service skills, and the adaptability to work both on-site and remotely as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Field Service Technician or in a related capacity.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
