Catholic Education Coordinator Job Description

The Ladgov Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catholic Education Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for implementing and managing our Catholic Faith Formation programs for children and adults.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement program goals and objectives in collaboration with the Catholic Chaplain/Priest and Catholic Pastoral Coordinator.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteer catechists and facilitators to deliver high-quality faith formation programs.
  • Coordinate program events, liturgies, and celebrations, including scheduling classes, meetings, and special events.
  • Manage program budgets, ordering necessary materials and supplies, and maintaining accurate records of registration and attendance.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to catechists and volunteers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver effective faith formation programs.
  • Collaborate with the Catholic Chaplain/Priest and Catholic Pastoral Coordinator to develop and implement a comprehensive faith formation strategy for the community.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in Catholic Faith Formation programs as a catechist or program volunteer, with at least 3 years serving as the Faith Formation Coordinator in a military chapel.
  • 1 year of experience as a director or in a leadership role.
  • AMS Catechist certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Knowledge of Catholic teachings and practices, with the ability to communicate them effectively to others.
